This Privacy Policy applies to the SortFolio app (the "App"), developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we", "us", or "our").

This policy explains how we handle information generated when you use the App. Please read this policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this policy.

Data Collection

The App does not collect any personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, or phone number).

The App accesses and processes the following data locally on your device:

• Photos and videos: Used for album organization; processing is done entirely on-device
• File metadata: Such as capture time, file size, and GPS location (read-only, never uploaded)

Data used for network communication:

• Device Identifier: Used for Pro feature activation and device binding; not linked to your personal identity
• Redeem codes: Entered by the user for Pro feature activation verification

Permission Usage

[Photo Library Read Access]
Purpose: To browse, display, and analyze photos and videos on your device. You may grant access to all photos or selected photos only.

[Photo Library Write Access (iOS only)]
Purpose: To archive organized results and move cleaned-up items to "Recently Deleted" instead of permanently deleting them immediately.

You may change or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's system settings. Revoking photo access disables related features but will not affect any data on your device.

Network Communication

The App communicates with our servers only in the following scenarios:

• Pro activation: Sending redeem codes and device identifiers for verification
• Pro status verification: Periodically verifying Pro activation validity
• Version update checks: Checking for available app updates
• Pricing and configuration: Fetching the latest feature configuration

We commit to: never transmitting your photos or media files over the network; not collecting your location for network use; not using data for cross-app tracking or advertising. All network communication is encrypted via HTTPS.

Data Usage

Your photo and video data is used solely for: displaying album content, providing sorting/detection/analysis features, and analyzing storage usage. We will never use your data for advertising, analytics reporting, or sale to any third party.

Data Storage & Security

Your photos, videos, and preferences are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded to any server. Pro activation information communicates with our server only during verification via encrypted connections. All local app data is completely removed upon uninstallation.

Data Retention

Local data is stored on your device for as long as you choose; uninstalling removes all local data. Server-side device identifiers used for Pro verification will be deleted within 12 months after expiry or last verification. You may request deletion by contacting us.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer your personal data to any third party. The App contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or social login SDKs.

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to access, delete, and withdraw consent for data we hold about you.

EU/EEA users (GDPR): You also have the right to data portability, objection, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

California residents (CCPA): The App does not sell personal information; no opt-out required.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you via an in-app notification and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated at least 7 days before taking effect.
